Obituary of Glenna Jean Young

The family of Glenna sorrowfully announce her death following a brief illness on Monday, August 7, 2017. She was a daughter of the late George and Gordena (Green) Young. In her career she was Director of Human Resources at Eastern Bakeries. Glenna enjoyed participating in several sports excelling in basketball: her team was inducted into the Saint John Sports Hall of Fame. She was also an active member with Outdoor Enthusiasts. She was an adherent of Cornerstone Baptist Church. Glenna will be sadly missed by her friends and family. Glenna is survived by her two sisters; Joyce and husband Howard Cogswell and Linda and husband William Bassett; aunt, Patricia McCall; as well as lifetime friend, Donald Lemon. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424) with visiting on Thursday, August 10, 2017 from 3PM – 6PM. The funeral service will be held on Friday, August 11, 2017 at 2 PM in Brenan’s Chapel. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
