Obituary of Reginald Charles Strongman

Strongman, Reginald Charles "Tinker" – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Reginald "Tinker" Strongman of 114 Spar Cove Road, Saint John on October 2, 2017 at the Saint John Regional Hospital following a period of failing health. Tinker was born in Saint John on July 28, 1945 and was the son of the late Reg and Hilda (Thibodeau) Strongman. He is survived by his sisters Helen MacKay (Winston), Marilyn Strongman, Barbara Strongman (Wade) and Linda Elliott (John); brothers Roy Strongman (Cathy) and Wayne Strongman (Debra); as well as many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours. Tinker was predeceased by his parents; brother Ronald and sister Janet. Tinker was a commercial fisherman for many years and summered in Port Hill, PEI where he enjoyed fishing with his cousin and sharing his catch of clams and lobster. He was an avid hunter and loved the outdoors making many trips to Hartland, NB to visit and hunt with his cousins. In keeping with Tinker’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of NB or a charity of the donor’s choice.
