Obituary of Brenda Lynn McDevitt

With her beloved husband Tony and children Samantha and Tanner by her side, Brenda Lynn McDevitt found peace on October 14th, 2017. Brenda’s bravery during her battle with cancer was an inspiration. She cherished her family and was a wonderful friend to all who knew her. Brenda is survived by her husband of 33 years, Tony; son, Tanner McDevitt (Renaye and precious grandson Deklan) and daughter, Samantha McDevitt-Sawler (Gordie). Brenda is the daughter of Gordon and Jane McKay of Saint John; sister to Lawrence McKay (Gina) and was predeceased by her sister, Baby Jane McKay. Visitation will occur at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) on Thursday, October 19th from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. A memorial service will be held at Brenan’s Chapel on Friday, October 20th at 2 pm. For those who wish, remembrances made to the SJRH Palliative Care Unit c/o the SJRH Foundation or to Bobby’s Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
