Obituary of George Robert Mahar

Mahar, George Robert – With deep sadness we announce the sudden passing of George Robert Mahar on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at his residence. Born in Saint John on July 28, 1961 he was a son of Ola Mahar and the late Thomas Mahar. George was an electrician most of his life attaining the red seal designation. He was a true sports enthusiast, especially hockey, baseball, darts and golf. He was so proud of his jeep which he and Erik built together. George was a true friend and was loved by all. He will be sorely missed. George will missed by his brothers, Gerald, Jim (Patty Oblenis) and Philip (Karen) as well as several nieces and nephews. George will be especially missed by his nephew, Erik. George was predeceased by his father Thomas Mahar. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). At the family’s request there will be no visitation or funeral service.
