Obituary of Mary Joan Martha Richards

The death of Mary Joan Martha Richards of 15 Magazine Street, Saint John, occurred on Thursday, July 14, 2005 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late William E. and Margaret E. (Richardson) Richards. Miss Richards was employed with the Department of National Revenue for 35 years before her retirement. She was an active member of the Church of St. Andrew and St. David and had served with the United Church Presbytery. Joan was involved with Community Meals on Wheels and loved curling and bridge. She is survived by sister-in-law, Isabel Richards, four nephews, Ronald Richards (Winnie), Robert Richards (Bonnie), Alan Richards (Barbara) and Ross Richards (Tanya) and many great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by one brother Hazen Richards Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held at the Church of St. Andrew and St. David, Germain Street, Saint John, on Monday, July 18, 2005 at 11:30 AM. Interment in Fernhill Cemetery.
