Obituary of Jessie May Boone Gould

Gould, Jessie May Boone (Jan 7, 1919 ? Sept 7, 2005) Jessie Gould of the Loch Lomond Villa, formerly of 102 Lansdowne Ave, Saint John, NB, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2005, at the Loch Lomond Villa. She was born at Young's Cove, NB, the middle daughter of the late Kenneth and Tamar Violet (Penney) Boone. Both parents were born in Newfoundland. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family being predeceased by her sisters Margaret W. Capson (Harold) and Mildred A. Stripay (John) and her husband Ralph Cyril 'Pete' Gould. She was employed by M.R.A.'s Ltd. in the Ladies 'Ready to Wear' Department and by Dr. Richard A. Gregg, DDS, for many years. She was Past President, serving two terms, and secretary for several years of the Business and Professional Women's Club. She was also a member of the Saint John Council of Women. She was a former member of the Business Ladies of the St. Andrew's and later Thistle-St. Andrew's Curling Club. Surviving are three sons, Kenneth (Dr. Patricia Donihee) of Saint John, Paul (Josie) of Vancouver and Jon Phillip (Dianne) of Saint John, only daughter Gloria Dawn Anderson (Harold) of Sydney, NS; daughters-in-law Catherine Gould of Halifax and Robyn Pevecz of Vancouver; 11 grandchildren, Ryan (Sky), Jon Patrick (Debbie Murray), Stephanie, Lisa, Kara, Justine, Alycia, Tiffany, Guy (Tara), Scott, and Mark; three step-grandchildren, Cheryl Hachey (Dennis), Michael Darling (Nancy), Donald Darling (Patti); three great-grandchildren Alexander, Sarah and Isaac; eight step great-grandchildren, Daniel, Andrew, Erin, Kathryn, Nicholas, Meghan, Mariah and Liam; and several nephews and nieces ? all of whom she loved dearly. Following cremation the family will be pleased to receive visitors between 10:00 ? 11:00 am on Saturday, September 10, 2005, at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), prior to the memorial service from Brenan's Chapel at 11:00 am. A reception will follow the service. Interment will take place at Fernhill Cemetery. The family would appreciate memorial donations to the Luxor Shrine Children's Transportation Fund and for those who are able and willing a blood donation to the Canadian Blood Services would be appreciated.
