Obituary of Janet L. Kinsella

The death of Janet L. Kinsella, of Rothesay, wife of J. Leonard Kinsella, occurred on Wednesday, October 12, 2005 at her residence. Born in Saint John on September 19, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Herbert T. and Amy W. (Wilcox) Newell. Janet attended Netherwood School for Girls, Dalhousie University, Mount Allison University and the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. She was a member of the Altar Guild at St. Paul's Anglican Church in Rothesay; a member of Riverside Golf and Country Club (Past President of the Ladies Association); Kennebecasis Garden Club (Past President) and a member of the Canadian Women's Senior Golf Association. Janet's love of people and wonderful sense of humor will always be remembered by everyone whose lives she touched. Besides her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Margot Petrie (Richard) of Fredericton, her son, Tom Short (Krista) of Moncton, step-children, Beth Beckingham (Kirk) of Rothesay, Colleen Morgan (Bob) of Port Hastings, NS and Karen Anne Carrier (Michael) of Beldune, one sister, Beth Hall (Cameron) of Orillia, ON, grandchildren, Christopher, Amy and Megan Short; Andrew Petrie; Heather, Andrew, Jeffrey and David Beckingham; Hilary, Sarah, Matthew and Elizabeth Morgan and Andrea and Steven Carrier, several nieces and nephews. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506-634-7424), with visiting on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held at St. Paul's Anglican Church, Rothesay, on Saturday, October 15, 2005 at 3:00 PM. Following cremation interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery.
