Obituary of Robert Gordon Thomas

THOMAS, Robert Gordon ? The death of Robert Gordon Thomas, husband of Marie (Gregg) Thomas of Saint John, NB, occurred on Wednesday, October 26, 2005 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, NB a son of the late Elmer and Ella (MacRae) Thomas. At the time of his retirement he was a foreman at Brunterm, was a veteran of World War II having served in England, Italy, Belgium and Holland and was a survivor of the S.S. Santa Elena. Besides his wife he is survived by one son, Brian (Anita); grandson, Patrick Robert; four brothers: James, Leonard, Paul and Hubert; sister, Jennie Simpson; brother-in-law, John Hickey and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers: Vernon, Sam and Harold and sister, Millie. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2005 at 11 am with visitation prior to the service at 10 am. Interment will take place at a later date. Remembrances in lieu of flowers may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
