Obituary of Alice T. Walsh

The death of Alice T. Walsh of Saint John, NB, wife of Harold Louis Walsh, occurred on Thursday, October 27, 2005 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, NB, on May 25th, 1931, a daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (Thompson) Pye. Alice was employed at St Joseph's Hospital where she worked for many years. Alice volunteered with Meals on Wheels and was a member of St. Peter Parish, and the C.W.L. Besides her husband, she is survived by four daughters, Cathy (Byron) Walsh-James of Fredericton, NB, Linda (David) Walsh of Saint John, Nancy (Paul) Bastarache of Riverview, NB, and Marie (Terry) Bernier of Saint John; one son, Richard and his partner, Kelly of Saint John; sisters, Catherine Sullivan and Mary McDougall; bother, Everett (Roy) Pye; thirteen grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers: Harry, Edward, and William; sister, Winnifred Steeves. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424. At Alice's request there will be no visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Peter's Church, Clarendon St., Saint John, on Saturday, October 29, 2005 at 1:30 pm. Following cremation interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens on Monday. Remembrances may be made to Romero House.
