Obituary of Geraldine M. 'Gerry' Gulliver

Gulliver, Geraldine M. 'Gerry' (Doyle) ? The death of Mrs. Geraldine Mary (Gerry) Gulliver of Rothesay, NB, wife of the late Terence William Gulliver, occurred on Tuesday, November 22, 2005 at her residence following a brief illness. Born in Saint John, NB, she was a daughter of the late G. Arthur and Barbara Patricia (Morris) Doyle. She was a graduate of St. Vincent's High School, Mount Carmel Academy, and St. Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing. In her youth Gerry was a member of Girl Guides and earned her Gold Cord. After the sudden death of her husband, Terry, she joined the staff of Ruth Ross Residence where she touched the hearts of many. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Rothesay, NB. Gerry's greatest joy in life was her family and all of their friends who were always welcome in her home. She treasured the company of her grandchildren and her many nieces and nephews who will miss her greatly as will all her dear friends. Her strong faith was a comfort to her. She was a true people person and to know her was to love her. She is survived by four sons, William A. (Donna) Gulliver, Rothesay, NB, John A. Gulliver, Peter T. (Monique) Gulliver, Saint John, NB and Christopher M. (Krista) Gulliver, Rothesay, NB, one daughter Ingrid (Morgan) Henderson, Toronto, Ontario, three brothers, Arthur T. (Bonnie) Doyle, Fredericton, NB, David L. (Margot) Doyle, Rothesay, NB, and John W. (Dorothy) Doyle, Saint John, NB, one sister, Priscilla (Franklin O.) Leger, Rothesay, NB, ten grandchildren Terence, Paul, Molly, Connor, Patrick, William, Annika, Ryan, Cory and Kathleen Gulliver, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, parents, a sister Susan Bustin and brother-in-law William (Bill) Bustin. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424) with visitation on Wednesday evening from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 12:00 Noon from Holy Trinity Church, Rockland Road. Remembrances may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
