Obituary of Kenneth 'William' LeGrand

LeGrand, Rev. Kenneth 'William' (Bill) The death of Rev. Kenneth 'William' (Bill) LeGrand, husband of Anne Marie (Poirier) LeGrand, occurred on November 27, 2005 at his residence. Born in L'Anse-a-Beaufils, Quebec, he was the son of the late Sydney Clement and Nellie Doreen (Urquhart) LeGrand. He graduated from MacDonald College with his Teaching Diploma, before receiving his BA from Mount Allison University and his Masters of Divinity from Huron College. He served at St. John Parish in Schreiber, ON, St. Saviour's Parish in Blind River, On, Restigouche Parish, NB, and Newcastle-Nelson Parish, Miramichi, NB, before becoming the Anglican Hospital Chaplain at the Saint John Regional Hospital and St. Joseph's Hospital. He was a member of St. James Anglican Church, Lakewood. Besides his wife he is survived by his brother Winston Lloyd (Jean) of Oshawa, ON, his sister Shirley May and her husband Kenneth LeGrand of St. Bruno, PQ, his nephews David, Jeffrey, Kevin, Rick and Dan as well as his wife's family. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), with visiting on Tuesday from 7-9 pm and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2005, at 10:30 am, from Trinity Anglican Church, Saint John. Following cremation interment will take place at St. Pierre Cemetery, Cheticamp, NS. Remembrance made to the Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation for Spiritual and Religious Care, St James Anglican Church, Lakewood, the Divinity Students' Fund of the Diocese of Fredericton or the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
