Obituary of Marjorie Ethel Sabean

The death of Marjorie Sabean of Birch Grove Court, Hampton, NB occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Tuesday, Feburary 13th, 2006. Born in Boston, MA on October 31st, 1928, to the late James and Regina “Marion” (Coholan) Trecartin. Marjorie worked for the Canadian Red Cross and CentraCare many years ago. She was an avid reader and loved playing poker, 45's and Bingo. Marjorie was an incredible woman raising seven children and played an integral role in raising grandsons Eric and Stefan, all the while living with the effects of Narcolepsy (sleeping disorder). Survived by her husband Kenneth “Ken” Sabean; two sons: Randy (Terri) of Orleans, On and Carl of Saint John, NB; four daughters: Debbie Sabean and Carol Lynch both of Saint John, NB, Gail (Terry) Carter of Hampton, NB and Katherine (Irvine) Rodgers of Baxter's Corner, NB; besides Eric (Andrea) and Stefan, 15 additional grandchildren: Corey (Brandi), Justin, Amanda, Alan, Crystal, Billy, Brittani, Robert, Alex, Sarah, Christopher, Courtenay, Kyle, Kassandra, and Branden; 4 great grandchildren; long time friend and first cousin Marion Comeau, niece Kim (Bruce) Thorne and several great nieces and one great nephew. Besides her parents she was predeceased by son Alan (1981), son in-law Dale Lynch, brother Russell and niece Judith Smith. With visitation at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB 634-7424 on Wednesday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held from Brenan's Chapel on Thursday, February 16th, 2006 at 1 pm. A reception will follow the funeral service at Main Street Baptist Church Hall. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
