Obituary of MAE F. SAUNDERS

The death of Mae Florence (Buckingham) (Killam) Saunders of Chateau de Champlain, 300 Boars Head Road, Saint John, NB, wife of the late Harry Saunders and the late Clarke M. Killam occurred on Friday, March 24, 2006 at her residence. Born in Montreal, PQ on July 2, 1909, she was a daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (Nelson) Buckingham. Mrs. Saunders has been a resident of Saint John since 1954. She was a former member of Riverside and Westfield Golf and Country Clubs, Thistle St. Andrews Curling Club and was a member of Hampton United Church. She is survived by her son, William B. Killam (Corinne) of San Antonio, TX, daughter, Marilyn (David) Bradford of Brighton, ON, step-son, William Saunders of Saint John; step-daughters; Barbara (Ray) Wasson, Gail Mabey, Nora Mawhinney and Nancy Saunders all of Saint John, sister; Audrey Chew of Oregon, USA, four grandchildren; Stephen (Annette) Killam, Peter (Carla) Killam, Dawn (Bill) King and David (Claire) Bradford, six great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home Chapel, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, (506-634-7424), on Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at 2:15 PM. Interment will take place in Mountain Cemetery, Yarmouth, NS. Remembrances may be made to a charity of the donors' choice.
