Obituary of Lorraine Marie Hachey

Lorrie passed away peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Monday, March 27, 2006 in the presence of her family. She fought a short battle with cancer with the dignity and acceptance that were such an integral part of her personality. She was the daughter of the late Gregory and Veronica (O'Hara) Robson. She leaves to mourn her devoted husband Larry, her two children, Greg (Tanya) and Nicole (David) and her much loved and idolized granddaughter Paige. She is also survived by three brothers, Arthur of Riverview, Brian and Stephen (Linda) of Saint John, one sister Debby Robinson (Fred) of Digby, N. S. and several nieces and nephews. Lorrie was born in Saint John where she began a 33 year distinguished career in the insurance industry where she held a series of increasingly responsible senior positions, most recently with AVIVA Canada. She was highly respected and well liked by her colleagues and co-workers throughout the Industry. She was known to have a significant impact on all of her family, friends and Business Associates. She was a crossword puzzle aficionado with a dry sense of humor who spent as much time as possible with her adored granddaughter. Lorrie will always be remembered by how she made other people feel, i.e. welcome, important and respected. She will be resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peter's Church, Clarendon Street, Saint John, on Thursday, March 30, 2006 at 11:00 am. Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a favorite charity of Lorrie's: Hospice, or to a charity of your choice.
