Obituary of Raymond M. Forward

The death of Raymond M. Forward of 11 Sandpiper Road, Saint John, husband of Doreen E. (Powell) Forward, occurred on Saturday, April 15, 2006 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Collina, NB, he was a son of the late Rutherford and Rachel (Johnston) Forward. Raymond was employed with the Department of Transportation as a construction worker for many years before his retirement. Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Richard Forward (Heather) of Fredericton, four daughters, Muriel Keeping, Sandra Doyle (Mark), Gail Case (Glen) and Rachel Lavigne, all of Saint John, son-in-law Carl Spellman, two brothers, Herb Forward of Hudson, NH and Karl Forward of Pompano, FL, 21 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one daughter, Carol Spellman, three sons-in-law, Edward Raithby, Bill Keeping and Percy Lavigne and foster daughter, Lois Blanchard. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Service will be held at Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, April 18, 2006 at 9:30 AM. Interment in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
