Obituary of REBECCA SHEPHERD

Rebecca Shepherd (nee Stark) was born in Hamilton, Scotland, the 12th of April 1936 and passed away peacefully at home with her family early Friday morning, the 28th of April 2006. Rebecca will lovingly be remembered by her husband, John; her children, Robert (Suzanne), Jane, John (Kathy), Jim (Agnes), and Maggie (Troy); her grandchildren, Laura, Alec, Katherine, John, Matthew, Jackie, John, Rebecca, and James; her siblings, David, James, John, Ruth and Walter; in addition to her extended family and many friends. Rebecca devoted her life to her family, thinking always of others over self. She was a member of the Duke of Rothesay Chapter of the IODE for more than twenty years. The family has chosen to have a private funeral service, but will celebrate Rebecca's life at a Memorial Service to be held 11:00am, Wednesday the 3rd of May at Saint Columba Presbyterian Church, Manawagonish Road, Saint John, NB. Should friends or family so desire, donations in memory of Rebecca may be made to the Alzheimer's Society or to a charity of the donor's choice. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506-634-7424).
