Obituary of Alma Helen Davidson

The death of Alma Helen Davidson, wife of the late Roy Davidson, occurred on June 23, 2006 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Canard, NS, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Mabel (MacGowan) Jackson. She moved to Saint John in 1934 and was employed with G. E. Barbours. She was a member of former Victoria Street Baptist Church and Main Street Baptist Church where she was a choir member for over 50 years and had taught Sunday School. She was also a member of the Women's Missionary Society, the Friendly Fellowship and enjoyed quilting at her Church. Surviving are her children Neal and Trena Davidson both of Saint John and several cousins, nieces ands nephews. Being the last surviving member of her immediate family her brother Avard Jackson and sister Marguerite Oakley predeceased her. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), with visiting on Sunday from 7-9 pm and Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 27, 2006, at 11:00 am, from Main Street Baptist Church. Interment will take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
