Rosalie LeBlanc

Obituary of Rosalie Joan LeBlanc

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a very special wife, mother, and grandmother, on Sunday, September 3, 2006 at home in Halifax, after a brief struggle with cancer. Born in Saint John, NB in 1940, she was the only child of the late Evelyn (Sharp) and George W. Day. She is survived by her husband, Jean Paul, a son, Dana (Nancy), New Glasgow; a daughter, Pierrette (Joe) Keeping, Halifax; grandchildren, Nicole, Deanna, Drew, Madelyn, Rachael, and Jordan. She was predeceased by a daughter, Michelle, in infancy. Rosalie took great joy in her grandchildren, and was very proud of their many activities and accomplishments. Rosalie had been a grateful recipient of an organ transplant. By request, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home Chapel, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) on Friday, September 8, 2006 at 1:00 PM. Interment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to an organ donation charity of your choice. The family would like to express their thanks to the VON who provided excellent care and compassion for Rosalie.
