Obituary of Anna Patterson

Patterson, Anna “Ann”. … Peacefully at the Loch Lomond Villa on Wednesday, September 6, 2006 following a period of declining health, the death of Anna “Ann” Isabel (Sharp) Patterson, wife of the late S. Douglas Patterson. Ann resided in Fairvale until her move to the Villa. Born in Lower Millstream she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Jean (Adams) Sharp. Ann will be sadly missed by her two sons: Bruce (Carolyn) of Calgary and Brian (Stephanie) of Quispamsis, granddaughter Hilary of Toronto. Ann is also survived by sister, Sybil (Gerald) Fowler of Moncton; brother, George (Frances) Sharp of Lower Millstream; sisters-in …law Edna Mawhinney of Maces Bay and Ann Sharp of Sussex Corner; several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents she was predeceased by her brother, Arthur Sharp of Sussex Corner. Ann was a dedicated teacher who touched the life of many young children. She spent thirty years teaching at Rothesay Elementary School. She was an avid gardener and long time member of the Kennebecasis Garden Club. Ann was a member of Saint David’s United Church, Rothesay and a dedicated member of Saint David’s UCW for many years. By request there will be no visiting. A memorial service celebrating Ann’s life will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2006 from Saint David’s United Church, Rothesay, NB at 11:00 am. Interment will take place in Kirk Hill Cemetery, Sussex, NB. In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to the Loch Lomond Villa Inc. 185 Loch Lomond Road, Saint John, NB, E2J 3S3 or a charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (634-7424).
