Obituary of Dorothy Brenda Allen

Dorothy Brenda Allen of Rothesay, NB, wife of the late Cecil Allen, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 8, 2007 at her residence. Born in Montreal, QC a daughter of the late James and Annie (Moorhouse) Hoyle. Dorothy enjoyed bridge, golf, sailing, entertaining and travelling. Survived by a son, Robert Allen (Delayne Rea) of Halifax, NS; two daughters, Susan Lynn Allen Myra (Graham) of Halifax, NS and Vicki Lee McMillan (Gordon) of Rothesay; sister, Rita Covey of Chester, NS; brother-in-law, Eric Allen (Joanne) of Middleton, NS; two grandchildren, Christopher and Katherine McMillan of Rothesay; one niece, Mary Jane Aulenback of Bridgewater, NS; three nephews, Bruce Allen of Houston, TX, Michael and Stephen McIssac of Halifax. Predeceased by her husband, Cecil in 1990. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Wednesday from 7-9 pm and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held from St. David’s Church, Rothesay on Friday at 11 am. Interment will be held in Fernhill Cemetery on Saturday at 10 am. Remembrances may be made to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor’s choice.
