Obituary of Norman F. Godin

The death of Norman F. Godin, husband of Marguerite Godin, occurred unexpectedly on January 15, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born at Atholville, NB, he was the son of the late Felix and Marie Louise (Landry) Godin. He was employed as a Industrial Spray Painter with J. D. Irving Ltd. during his working career. He was a member of St. Pius X Church and enjoyed fly tying and fishing. Besides his wife he is survived by his son Norman Jr., (Kim) of Saint John, Dianne Warner (Brian) of Saint John, Joanne Savoie (Joe) of Quispamsis, Sandra Godin (Bob) of Saint John, his brother Lionel (Jeanette) of Allairdville, NB, 11 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. His son Roger, brothers Alphese and Alphonse and sisters Therese and Gloria predeceased him. Resting at Brenans Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), with visiting on Wednesday from 7-9 pm and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 19, 2007, at 11:00 am, from St. Pius X Church. Interment will take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Remembrances made to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
