Obituary of Audrey H. McKnight

McKNIGHT, AUDREY H.- It is with great sadness that the family announce the death of Audrey H. McKnight of 300 Boars Head Road “Chateau de Champlain”, Saint John, wife of the late Wesley J. McKnight, which occurred on Monday, March 26, 2007 at her residence. Born in Saint John on June 29, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Herbert R. and Helen F. (Gallagher) Wheaton. Audrey’s family and grandchildren were the center of her life. She loved cooking, gardening, knitting and bird watching, especially hummingbirds. She will be sadly missed. She is survived by four daughters, Frances Leach (James), Donna Brown (Robert), Esther McKnight and Barbara Perry all of Saint John, four grandchildren, Patricia Leach (Marc Brown), Scott Leach, Jeremy Brown and Kendra Brown, sister-in-law, Lorraine Wheaton, nephews, Donald and David Wheaton all of California and her longtime companion, Mopsey the cat. She was predeceased by two brothers, George and Donald Wheaton Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held at Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, March 30, 2007 at 11:00 AM. Interment in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Remembrances to the New Brunswick Lung Association, the Extra Mural Hospital Foundation or the charity of the donors’ choice would be appreciated.
