Obituary of Patricia Catherine Ann Landers
The death of Mrs. Patricia (Mooney) Landers of Saint John North, NB, occurred suddenly at the age of 58 on December 13, 2003 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, NB, she was the daughter of the late Leon and Mary (Floyd) Mooney. Pat was employed for many years at NBTel and subsequently with the Police Department of the City of Saint John. Besides her husband, Gerald and their children Deborah and Robert (Bonnie) she is survived by her two grandchildren Alyssa and Jayde, her sisters Maureen (Mrs. Gary Watson) of Pocologon, NB, Christine (Mrs. Murray Whitaker) of Grand Bay-Westfield, NB, Catherine (Mrs. Hank Gormley) of Sudbury, Ont., her brothers Michael (Valerie) of Saint John, NB, Barry (Linda) of Bridgetown, NS and several nieces and nephews. Several serious illnesses forced Pat to retire early from the work force. In spite of poor health, she continued to care for her family. She always showed concern and interest for others and often made light of her own afflictions. She was a true giver, a devoted wife and mother and a great sister. In her last years her two grandchildren Alyssa and Jayde were a tremendous source of pride and motivation for her. She will be greatly missed by all those near to her. The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses and medical staff through the years that have helped Pat and especially those who most recently provided her with kind and compassionate care.
