Obituary of Wayne Blair James Allaby

Allaby, Wayne Blair James – The death of Wayne Allaby of Saint John, NB, husband of Brenda (Blizzard) Allaby, occurred on Sunday, July 20, 2008 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Plaster Rock, NB on January 19, 1950, he was the son of the late Gordon and Janet (Bridge) Allaby. Wayne was a very dedicated man in every thing he did. He spent many years as a truck driver until his retirement. Wayne loved sports and also liked to occasionally play a game of bingo. He is survived by his loving wife Brenda; two sons, Richard (Jennifer) and Bruce (Yvette), both of Saint John; one daughter, Kim (Tom) Allaby of Saint John; five brothers, Gordon (Dorothy) Allaby of Hamilton, Ontario, Windsor Allaby (Maxine) of Sussex, Randy Allaby (Fern) of Musquash, Warren Allaby (Gail) of Fredericton, and Ronnie Allaby of Plaster Rock; three sisters, Myrtle Matheson of Whitehorse, Yukon, Maxine Melvin (Daryl) of Pennfield, and Rose Marie Allaby of Plaster Rock; grandchildren Tiffany, Josh, Jordan, Justin, Jacob, Jaylyn, Keenan, Caleb, Bradley, Alex, Samantha, and Tara; his mother-in-law, Ida Blizzard; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Wayne was predeceased by a brother, Howard, and a sister, June. In keeping with Wayne’s wishes, no formal funeral services will be observed at this time. For those who wish, remembrances to the Canadian Cancer Society or charity of donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. The funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424).
