Obituary of Patrick Alexander Brian von Weiler

VONWEILER, PATRICK ALEXANDER BRIAN- The von Weiler Family is saddened to announce the passing of Patrick Alexander Brian von Weiler at the age of 26. Patrick passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, December 7th, 2008 after a courageous battle with cancer. Patrick loved his family and his many friends, and lived life to the fullest. He was highly regarded be everyone who knew him and enjoyed a constant stream of visitors during his illness. During his ten-month illness, Patrick graduated from Compu-College with honours. His hope was to work with disabled and troubled children in the community. Patrick is remembered by his father, Glenn von Weiler; his mother, Mary Claire Jacob; three brothers, Anthony, Andrew and Austin; his grandparents, Joost and Lydie von Weiler; aunt and uncle, Alan and Janet von Weiler; cousin, Lisa Nichols (Tim Nichols); his very close friend, April DeWolfe and her family; and countless other friends. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, 634-7424, with visiting on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2008, from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel at 2:30 PM. Interment will be in Fernhill Cemetery. Patrick’s family requests remembrances be made to Hospice- Greater Saint John and the Palliative Care Unit of the Saint John Regional Hospital.
