Obituary of Joseph Gerald Leo Hachey

HACHEY, Joseph Gerald “Leo”, passed away unexpectly at the Saint John Regional Hospital, on March 18, 2010. Born in Saint John, on October 5, 1949, he leaves behind his wife Jeanet (Bastarache). Leo was a memeber of the International Labourer Union for many years. Survived by his daughters, Tammy Hachey, (Greg Kiervin); Deanna Sherwood; sisters, Rita Hachey; Theresa Hachey; Audry Dunphy; Rose (Peter) Sears; brothers, Raymond (Bernadine) Hachey; Gerald (Barb) LeBlanc; Jerry (Linda) Hebert; 7 grandchildren; stepchildren, Catherine and Kenneth Melanson; Brittany and Jordan Reid; special friend and companion, Crystal Reid; several neices, nephews and cousins. Leo was predeceased by his mother, Anita (LeBlanc) and father, Wilfred Hachey, step-mother, Maryann (LeBlanc) Hachey; nephew Timmy LeBlanc; great nephew, Brandon Dunphy. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (634-7424) with visiting on Friday, March 19, from 2-4, 7-9. A Mass of Christian Burial for Leo will take place on Saturday, March 20, 2010 from St. Joseph’s Church at 10 a.m. Remembrances in memory of Leo may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
