Obituary of John Kirkley Arrowsmith Pollard

John Kirkley Arrowsmith Pollard of Quispamsis, husband of Elizabeth L. (Kenkel) Pollard, passed away on Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at his residence, following a brief illness. Born at Montreal, QC on September 11, 1929, he was a son of the late Septimus and Eva (Arrowsmith) Pollard. John was a well known real estate agent in the area, having worked in real estate since 1948 until his retirement 55 years later. In his spare time, John was a model railroad enthusiast, being a member of the National Model Railroad Association, and a former president of the Salem & Hillsborough Historical Railroad. In addition to his wife of 51 years, John is survived by his children, Deborah and David. In keeping with John’s wishes, no formal funeral services will be observed. Interment will take place at a later date in All Saint’s Cemetery, Clifton Royal. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to All Saint’s Church, or to any charity of the donor’s choice. The funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424).
