Obituary of Eleanor Anne Joye Dingwell

With sorrow we announce the passing of Eleanor Dingwell at Bobby's Hope House on Wednesday, January 26, 2011. Born in Saint John in 1933, she was the daughter of the late William and Annie (Samways) Abell. Eleanor was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are her husband of 58 years, Don Dingwell; son Don (Tula), B.C.; daughters, Julie and Janet, both of Saint John; grandchildren, Stephanie (Eddie); Ryan (Katie); Bronwyn; Hanna; great granddaughter, Quinn. Eleanor will also be fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews but especially nephew Gerry (Marjorie and Laina) and friends Cheryl and Barb. Eleanor was predeceased by her son, Michael; sister, Betty; brother Gerald. In keeping with Eleanor's wishes, there will be no visitation or memorial service. For those who wish, remembrances to Hospice Greater Saint John or the Saint John Animal Rescue League would be appreciated by the family.
