Obituary of L. Yvonne Dupuis

Yvonne Dupuis of Saint John, devoted wife of Normand Dupuis, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, April 9, 2011, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born December 8, 1950 in Saint John, she was a daughter of the late S. Lloyd and Kathleen McCavour. Yvonne grew up and lived in Lorneville for most of her life. She worked in accounting at J.D. Irving for close to 40 years. A devoted Christian, Yvonne was a member of the former Waterloo Street Baptist Church for several years, and then Cornerstone Baptist Church. She was a beautiful person, inside and out, and always enjoyed time with her family. She cherished time with friends, and was always delighted in having company to cook for. Yvonne loved cats, playing games, gardening, birds, traveling, and making crafts- particularly floral arrangements. Besides her husband, Normand, Yvonne is survived by her loving daughter, Melanie of Saint John; sister, Rose Marie Williams (Eugene) of Hampton; brother, Milford (Gail) of Gondola Point; cousins, W. Clyde McCavour (Kathy) and Fern (wife of her late cousin, Stephen McCavour); several nieces and nephews; and her best friend of many years, Claire Fairweather. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row from 2-4 & 7-9. A memorial service will be held from Cornerstone Baptist Church on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at 11:00 am. Following a reception at the church, interment will take place in Lorneville Cemetery.
