Obituary of Margareta Hedvig Kristina Kierstead

At her residence on Thursday, December 19, 2002, Margareta Hedvig Kristina Kierstead, of Quispamsis, wife of the late John George Clement Joseph Kierstead. Born in Mount Vernon, Washington, she was the daughter of the late Andreas and Alma Katarina (Sjögren) Olsson of Sweden. Margareta was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, the CWL and was involved with the Canadian Red Cross. She is survived by one son, James (Rebecca) of Quispamsis, two daughters, Carol Ann Crowther (Daniel) of Fredericton and Jackelyn Smith (Douglas) of Dartmouth, NS, two sisters, Bertha Leadbetter of Washington, USA and Alma Clouston (Byron) of Oromocto, grandchildren, Jody Crowther, Kerstin Coy, Kherri Smith, Shawn Smith, Heidi, Britta, Zachary and Karina Kierstead, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Stig and Olle Olsson and three sisters, Anna Lisa Love, Gunhild Olsson and Karin Urquhart. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on December 23, 2002, at 10:00 AM, from Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
