Obituary of B. Frederick Beckett

It is with great sadness that the family of Fred Beckett announces his passing on November 6, 2012 at the Saint John Regional Hospital surrounded by family and friends. Born in Saint John, he was the son of the late Joseph L. Beckett and Bertha (McLeod) Beckett. He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret, children Bruce (Debbie) Beckett, Ann (David) Johnston, Joe (Myra) Beckett, Beth (John) Vaughan, grandchildren Andrew Surette, Mark Johnston, Peter Johnston, Steven Johnston, Michael Beckett, Neal Beckett, Katherine Vaughan, Emily Vaughan, sister Marie Horstman, brother Ronald and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Terry, Roy, Joe and sister, Marcia and infant grandson, Matthew Vaughan. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held from St. Peter’s Church, 50 Clarendon Street on Friday, November 9, 2012 at 11:00 am. Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. For those who wish remembrances to St. Peter’s Church Building Fund or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
