Obituary of Sandra Lynn Morrison

It is with great sadness that the family of Sandra Lynn Morrison, wife of Glenn J. Morrison, announces her passing on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on January 19, 1948 in Saint John, NB, she was a daughter of the late Rhys Jones and Zelia (Grant) Prosser. Sandra worked for Bayshore Home Health as a homecare worker, retiring after 15 years because of ill health. She loved bowling and spending time with her girlfriends playing Newfie bingo. She is survived by her son, Michael Morrison (Tammy) of Saint John; one daughter, Karen Morrison (Gerald) of Saint John; six grandchildren, Vaughn, Kody, Nicholas, Andrea, Brian and Tyler. Sandra is also survived by her siblings, Robert Jones (Betsy) of Oshawa, ON; Dawn Marie Ingalls (Lyle) of Saint John; Nancy Gillie (Harold) of Petitcodiac, NB; Harold Jones (Eileen) of Kingston Peninsula, NB and Audrey Arsenault (Andy) of St. Martin’s, NB; mother-in-law, Vi Morrison of Saint John; sister-in-law, Joy Cummings (Clifford) of Fredericton, NB; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, step-father, Norman Prosser; two brothers, Raymond and David "Larry" Jones; one nephew, Robert Jones Jr. "Bud". Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Tuesday from 6-8 pm and Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at 2:00 pm from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens Cemetery. For those who wish remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Canadian Diabetic Association.
