Obituary of Floyd Glenn Wilson

It is with great sadness that the family of Floyd Glenn Wilson, of Saint John, husband of Jeannie (Smith) Wilson, announces his passing on Saturday, April 27, 2013. Born on August 29, 1933 in Lorneville, NB, he was a son of the late Edgar and Dorothy (Splane) Wilson.Floyd was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought him so much joy. Floyd was a long time member (retired) of the IBEW 502. He was passionate about Country Music, fishing on the Miramichi and was the #1 fan of his beloved Boston Red Sox. Floyd never missed an important date; he was always there with a card in hand. He is survived by his wife, Jeannie; two sons, Brian (Janet) and Craig (Laura) Wilson; one daughter, Ruth (Rob) Wilkins; three step-children, Dan, Doug and Derek (Colleen) Smith; two siblings, Donna (Norman) Little and Lawrence (Elva) Wilson; ten grandchildren, Paige, Carly, Jaime, Stevie, Jennifer, Amanda, Bradley, Gregor, Matthew and Julia; two great-grandchildren, Tai and Max; six step-grandchildren, Teresa, Ryan, Brad, Taylor, Emily and Matthew Smith; several nieces and nephews. Floyd was predeceased by his 1st wife, Eleanor Lillian Wilson.Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Friday, May 3, 2013 from 2-8 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 10:00 am from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery. For those who wish remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
