Obituary of Pheobe J. Colwell

COLWELL, PHOEBE J. – Phoebe Jane Colwell of Saint John, wife of the late Gerald Colwell, passed away on Friday, May 31, 2013 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born at Saint John on July 26, 1917, she was a daughter of the late Archibald and Edna (Seely) Campbell. Phoebe was an avid bowler, and loved to trailer in the summer, most recently at Coles Island. Phoebe is survived by two daughters, Eleanor Craig (Gordon Cross) of Saint John, and Phyllis Lynch (David) of Dartmouth; grandchildren, Troy Craig, Krista Craig-Petre, Ian Estey, Kimberly Estey, Charlene Connor, and Bradley Lynch; ten great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Phoebe was predeceased a daughter, Valerie Estey; a grandson, Todd Craig; two sisters, Alice and Marjorie; one step-sister and four step-brothers. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Monday from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at 11 am from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
