Obituary of Bertha May Lindsay

The death of Bertha M. Lindsay of Saint John occurred suddenly on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Bathurst, NB on December 1, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Mina (Smythe) Lindsay. Bertha enjoyed traveling, especially to the Islands of Scotland, walking in Rockwood Park and participating in stimulating discussions. Bertha had a varied career working as an administrative assistant with the Canadian Army, I.B.M. and Stelco. Bertha’s sense of humour and independent spirit will keep alive her memories amongst her family and friends. She was predeceased by siblings, Clarence, Laura, William, Hazel, Borden and Byron. She will be sadly missed by many friends, nieces and nephews. By Bertha’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service.
