Obituary of Joseph Robert Andrew McLeod

It is with great sadness that the family of Joseph Robert Andrew McLeod announces his passing on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Charlottetown, PEI on August 23, 1927 he was a son of the late Andrew and Pansy McLeod. Joseph retired from the Saint John Ship Building and was president of Local 3 Marine Workers Saint John Ship Building. He is survived by his children, Frank McLeod (Liz), Allan McLeod (Marilyn), Joseph McLeod Connie Westman (Paul), Charlene McLeod (Hardie), Billy McLeod, Jim McLeod (Eva), Kim Whittaker (Bill), George McLeod (Linda), and Krista McLeod (Kevin); several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Joseph was predeceased by his parents, Andrew and Pansy McLeod, two daughters, Pam Marshall and Joanne Boisvert, and several brothers and sisters, daughter-in-law, Betty and son-in-law, Dave Saunders (best buddy). At Joseph’s request there will be no formal visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at 12:10 pm from the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery. For those who wish remebrances may be made to any charity of the donor's choice.
