Obituary of Ruby Estelle Bisson

Surrounded by her family, the passing of Ruby Estelle Bisson occurred at Rocmaura Nursing Home on Tuesday, November 5, 2013. She was born on December 02, 1921, in Sussex, a daughter of the late Edward and Marie (Gray) Kierstead. She was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion for over 70 years holding the posts of Past President NB Auxiliary Command; Past President Royal Canadian Legion Branch #14, a member of Branch #64, Past Supreme Rep. Phythian Sisters, a member and Past President of the Ladies Orange Benevolant Association, an officer of the Crystal Chapter #13, and Past Chief of the Loyalist Temple #13. Ruby is survived by her children, James (Deborah) Pattman, Saint John; Paul (Debra) Pattman, Saint John; Kevin (Shirley) Pattman, Quispamsis; Timothy Bisson; daughter, Cathy Martin; 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Constance "Connie" Kierstead. She was predeceased by her first husband Kenneth Pattman, second husband Henry Bisson; sister Geneva Teehan and her husband Walter; brother Hilson Kierstead. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. The Funeral Service will be held from Brenan's Chapel on Friday, November 8, 2013 at 10:00 am. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
