Obituary of Mary Elizabeth Pothier

Mary Elizabeth Pothier passed away on December 27, 2013 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia she was a daughter of the late Harry and Ruth (Smith) Brush. Mary was a member of the C.W.L. of Holy Trinity Church, Rocmaura Foundation, Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation, St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation and Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 64. Surviving are her husband, of 67 years, William "Mickey"; son, Raymond (Donna) Pothier, Yarmouth; daughters, Darlene (Ronald) Hadland, Saint John; Diana (Emery) Richard, Saint John; Ramona (Calvin) Johnson, Yarmouth; Harry’s Fiancé, Tracy; sisters, Olive, Joyce and Gloria; brothers, Gordie and Bernard; several grandchildren, great grandchildren nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her son, Harry Pothier. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Sunday, December 29, 2013, from 7-9 PM and Monday, December 30 from 2-4 and 7-9. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at 12:00 noon from Holy Trinity Church, 21 Canon Street. Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
