Obituary of Linda Gertrude Meunier

It is with saddened hearts that the family of Linda Meunier of Saint John, wife of the late Ronald Meunier announces her passing, which occurred surrounded by her family on Friday, July 11, 2014, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on March 12, 1950, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth and Bernice (Conway) Steeves. Linda devoted her life to taking care of her family and treasured the times spent with those she loved. She especially adored the moments with her precious grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will fondly remember their grandmother as playful and loving. Linda always enjoyed shopping, playing bingo and a good game of cards with the girls at her Tuesday night card group. Linda is survived by her children, Joe (Karen) of Saint John, Kim Meunier (Brenda) of PEI, Denise Meunier of Saint John, Ronald "Tinum" of Saint John and Margie Bradbin of Saint John; daughter-in-law, Kim Connelly-Meunier of Saint John; sisters, Barb Steeves, Jeana Fernandes (Eduardo) and Cindy Steeves all of Ontario; brothers, Kenneth "Billy" (Carol) and Mark Steeves (Pam) all of Saint John; grandchildren, Jessica, Lindsay, Justin, Melissa, Alicia, Tianna, Carter, Karissa and Miranda; great-grandchildren, Jackson, Ava "Fancy", Kenlea and Kaedyn; loving companion and special friend, Clifford Jesso; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Marilyn and brother, Ricky. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Saturday, July 12 from 7-9 PM and Sunday, July 13 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, July 14, 2014, at 10:00 AM. Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, at a later date.
