Obituary of Leonard G. Clarke

The death of Lennie Clarke, Husband of 65 years to Melba J. (Northrup) Clarke, occurred on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at the Loch Lomond Village. Born in Saint John on October 10, 1923, he was a son of the late John W. and Clara (Laird) Clarke. He is survived by his wife, Melba, and his daughters Brenda Tremblay (Jesse) of Saint John and Wendy Hughes of Vancouver; grandchildren Clay Tremblay (Stacie) and Shannon Tremblay; great grandchildren Bradley, Lucas, Brandon and Haley; and several nieces and nephews. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). As per Lennie’s request, no formal visitation or funeral service will be held. A private family interment will be held at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances to the Loch Lomond Villa Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
