Obituary of J. Ronald Bourque

It is with great sadness that the family of Ronald Bourque announce his death, which occurred on January 27, 2015 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on October 28, 1949, he came from a family of 16 and was a son of the late Gerard and Doreen (Arsenault) Bourque. Ronald worked construction for over 30 years with many different companies; Marquis, Flood Construction, Rocca Construction and was a member of the Labourers’ Union Local 900. In later years, he took great joy being the driver of Cab # 99 for Valley Taxi and enjoyed all of his regular clients and shared many laughs with his co-workers. Outside of his working life he had a true devotion to his grandchildren, and he enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and hunting. Coming from such a large family, Ronald is survived by his children; Lindsay Bourque (Donna Jensen) of Quispamsis, Jessica Robertson (Clay) of Quispamsis, his grandchildren; Sydney Bourque, Kael Robertson and Jason Porter, the mother of his children; Roberta, sisters; Janice Dukeshire (LeRoy), Diane McIntyre (Dan), Jean Bourque, Cindy Furlong (Brian), Theresa Bourque, Carol Carvell (Lenny), Linda Myers (Raymond), Deborah Snodgrass (Donald), Darlene McFarlane (Kenneth), brothers; Edgar Bourque (Corrine), Darrell Bourque, Gerald Bourque (Louise) and Mark Bourque (Freda), his sister-in-law Rose Bourque, dear friend Marsha and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Ronald is predeceased by his brothers Wayne Bourque and Allan Bourque. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). There will be visitation on Thursday, January 29, from 2-4 and 7-9. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Holy Trinity Catholic Church on Friday, January 30, 2015 at 11am.
