Obituary of Ron MacDonald

Ronald "Ron" James MacDonald passed away on March 12, 2015 at Bobby’s Hospice. Born on March 16, 1955 he was a son of the late Edward and Laura (Patterson) MacDonald. Ron earned the nickname "Fudgie" because of the many years establishing his fudge and candy business. He loved his family and friends and cherished the times he got to spend with them, and the special memories he made with each and every one of them. He is survived by his daughter, Kristin Mahar; son, Tyson MacDonald; brothers, Bill (Kathie) MacDonald; Rick MacDonald; Frank (Linda) MacDonald; Kevin (Margaret) MacDonald; Mike (Cathy) MacDonald; sisters, Lois (Dave) Evans; Esther Foote; Linda Doiron; Donna (Joe) Speight; and Sherry MacDonald. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brother, Wayne and brothers-in-law, Jim Foote and Louis Doiron. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424), with visiting on Sunday, March 15, 2015 from 2-8 pm. A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 16, 2015 at 12:00 pm from Brenan’s Chapel. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Living Memorial Fund or to Bobby’s Hospice.
