Obituary of Laurie Janie Guitar
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, and sister. Laurie Janie Guitar passed away suddenly at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Wednesday, July 27th, 2022.
Born in Saint John on August 22nd, 1950, Laurie was the beloved daughter of the late Janie Hilda Beckingham.
She leaves behind her sons Timothy Guitar of Saint John, Fabian Guitar of Saint John, Richard Guitar of Lepreau, and Anthony Gauthier of Vancouver; her grandchildren Andrea Melanson, Chelsea Melanson, Ethan Melanson, Kyle Edison, Shaelyn Guitar, Domenic Guitar, Dustin Campbell, Coulton Guitar and Brandon Kee.
Laurie is also survived by her aunt Bertha Cyr and her brother John Beckingham.
Laurie was predeceased by Lloyd Guitar.
She will be fondly remembered by her roommate and friend Wanda.
Cremation has taken place. A visitation will be held at Brenan’s Funeral Home (634-7424), 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, on Thursday, August 4th, 2022, from 2 to 4pm. Private interment to follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery at a later date.
