Obituary of Shirley Conway

Conway, Shirley Beatrice The death of Shirley Beatrice Conway occurred on December 11, 2011 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on July 31, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Beatrice (Martin) Conway. She is survived by her daughter Leanne Byers; son Christopher Wilcox; grandchildren Matthew, Joshua, Brayden, and Damien. Siblings Donna (Danny) Dineen, Brian (Kathy) Conway. Shirley will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She graduated from St. Vincent’s in 1964, and worked for Doctor Gary Fecteau and Associates Psychologists. She was an active member of TOPS#2202, and enjoyed Saturday nights with The Girls. Shirley loved animals especially her three cats. She was a loving grandmother who adored her grandchildren, and everyone will miss her dearly Resting at Castle “Fallsview” Funeral Home 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John West (634-1701) with visiting on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 from 2-4, and 7-9 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption, with a reception to follow at the Fallsview Family Reception Centre. The interment will take place on Thursday December 15 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. The family would like to thank the Palliative Care Unit at the Saint John Regional Hospital for the care and compassion shown to Shirley. Donations in Shirley’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, or the Palliative Care Unit at the Saint John Regional Hospital.
