Obituary of G. Eldridge

Eldridge, G. Allan It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Al Eldridge on Sunday, September 11, 2011 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, with his loved ones by his side. Born on June 22, 1949 in Truro, NS. He was the son of the late Norval and Jean (Adams) Eldridge. Loving husband and best friend to Elaine (Johnston) Eldridge, always working together as a team at Lantic Laser Ltd. Besides his wife he is survived by his daughter, Carrie; son, Ryan (Jessica Ring), both of Saint John; sisters, Marilyn (Barrie) Underwood, of Saint John and Judy (Paul) Miller, of London, Ontario; as well as several nieces and nephews. Al was an avid Boston Bruins fan and enjoyed playing hockey and baseball. He loved the outdoors, to go for walks in the nature park. He had a passion for taking pictures and enjoyed all types of music, especially AC/DC. He had a great sense of humour and most of all he loved his wife and family. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, “Fallsview Chapel”, 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John West, (634-1701) visitation will take place on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. from Castle Funeral Home, “Fallsview Chapel”. Interment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery. There will be a reception at the Fallsview Family Reception Center following the interment. Donations, in memory of Al, may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
