Obituary of Nancy Ellen Bourgeois

BOURGEOIS, NANCY ELLEN- It is with great sadness the family would like to announce the death of Nancy Ellen Bourgeois, wife of George Bourgeois, of Greenhead Rd., Saint John, N.B. which occurred on Thursday May 9th, 2013 at Bobby’s Hospice after a long period of failing health. Born in Saint John, on February 26, 1950, she was a daughter of the late David Albert and Mary Elizabeth (Williams) Gifford. Nancy retired from Olsen’s as a cashier and had been previously been employed with Maritime Paper. An avid gardener, she especially enjoyed her purple waves. Nancy is survived by her husband, George, one son, Kevin J.(Stephanie McKinney), of Saint John, one daughter, Lea Mae Gautreau (Trevor),of Saint John, two brothers, Raymond Vautour (Maria), of Grand Bay- Westfield, and James Gifford, of Saint John, one sister, Valerie Desjardins (Hermel), of Saint John, two grandchildren, Cassie Elizabeth Gautreau, and Carleigh Ellen Muriel Gautreau, one step grandchild, Travis Perry, and special friend Little Ben, all of Saint John, and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave., Saint John, N.B. with visitation on Saturday May 11th and Sunday May 12th, from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday May 13th, 2013 at 11:00am from St. Rose of Lima Church. Interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery. A reception will follow the funeral at the Denis Morris Community Centre. Donations to The Canadian Cancer Society, Bobby’s Hospice or the I.W.K.
