Beth Kay

Obituary of Beth Kay

On Monday, September 19th Beth’s memory returned as she was walking across the Rainbow Bridge on her way to Heaven. She was greeted by all of her pets that had predeceased her and she remembered all their names and how much they liked to be cuddled. As she continued her journey into Heaven she reunited with her parents, Peg and George Jesty as well as many friends who had also gone before her.

Beth is survived by her best friend and husband Tom as well as her beautiful daughter Ann Freeman who will miss her deeply and cherish all their wonderful memories of her. Beth will also be missed by her canine buddies Casey and Cracker.

Beth is also survived by Tom’s family and a brother in Ontario.

After graduating High School in Amherst, NS, Beth went on to receive degrees in Education, Science and Biology from Mount Alison and Dalhousie Universities. She taught High School Science and Biology at schools in Truro, NS, Georgetown, Oakville and Burlington, ON. Among Beth’s many accolades was an Award for Distinction for Creativity in Education.

Beth’s favorite spot was Amherst shore where she enjoyed most of her summers with family and friends. Trips to Newfoundland were also special times for Beth.

Tom and Ann want to make a heartfelt thanks to the wonderful staff at the Loch Lomond Villa Outreach Program as well as to the awesome staff at the Village, in particular, Cedar House, and also to the Saint John Alzheimer’s Society.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424).
