I spend many days sliding down the back hill at Shirley’s and many hours sitting in the kitchen enjoying her company. Shirley was the community grandmother to say the least! Her face would light up anytime she saw us as kids and then the next generation of our kids as well. She always took the time to answer the 500 pointless questions children had. It was an honour to know Shirley and have her in my life! Thank you for the memories!

Our deepest condolences to Susan, Brenda and Darren and families. My favourite memory of visiting with Aunt Shirley on our annual summer vacations is how she always took care of all of the kids with food. She made sure we had cereal before we went to bed, she cooked amazing breakfasts, fabulous dinners and the best ever pies and jam! Aunt Shirley always made us feel welcome and would make sure we were allowed to be kids that could have fun! I will cherish those memories forever. Your MOM made our visits that more special because she understood kids! Liz, Larry, Ashley and Brittney.
