Obituary of Robin Lowther

It is with broken hearts that the family of Robin Arthur Lowther announces his passing on October 13, 2022, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, after a lengthy period of failing health. Born in Saint John, NB on August 21, 1962, he was a son of the late Ronald Lowther & Erma Parlee.

Robin was a very loving and caring soul.  He cherished every minute he had with everyone, especially, his 4 granddaughters.   Rob loved cars, it didn’t matter if it was driving them, fixing them, or going to a car show.  He was the kind of guy to light up the room, he always had a joke or made you smile.  Rob was well known throughout the taxi industry as he either drove taxi or was a dispatcher for both Vet’s and Hybrid Taxi.   Rob’s favorite thing he looked forward to, was our yearly fishing trip.  Nothing would hold him back on that day.  If he wasn’t fishing, with the grand kids or busting a joke, you could catch him having his Tim Horton’s coffee, while doing his $5. crosswords he got from Snacks.

Robin will be sadly missed by his children Tim (Crystal Bartlett), Ron and RJ Lowther; grandchildren: Brooklyn & Ayla Bartlett and Isabella & Olivia Lowther; sisters: Star Lowther and Lorena Veysey; brothers: Ronnie (Nancy Chaisson), Scott Lowther,   Allan Lowther & David Mitchell; the mother of his children, Heather MacKinnon; along with many nieces and nephews, cousins, and extended family.

Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424), there will be a visitation on Monday, October 17, 2022, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.  A Celebration of Live Service will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at 12:00 PM from the Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel. For those who wish, memorial donations to Diabetes Canada NB or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by family, and online condolences may be placed at www.BrenansFH.com.
