Obituary of Charles (Charlie) Douglas Campbell

Surrounded by his loving family, Charles Douglas Campbell passed away peacefully on March 3, 2023, at home. Born in Saint John, NB, on August 31, 1950, he was a son of the late Charles and Gertrude (nee McGaghey) Campbell.

Family meant everything to Charlie, and he loved them deeply. From spending quality time together, or to going to watch his grandson play hockey, every moment was precious to him.

Charlie was a sports enthusiast and an avid hockey fan. He was a past season's ticket holder for the Saint John Flames and loved his Toronto Maple Leafs.

Charlie will deeply missed by his loving wife, Margaret “Margie” (nee Taylor) Campbell, of 20 years; daughter Jessica Campbell (Janine Hatfield); sons Jason (Mary Ellen) and Jeffery (Heidi) Campbell; grandchildren: Devin, Dylan, Emma, Kassidy, Jayden, and Kylie Campbell; brothers: David (Jacquie), Darrell (Vicki), and Harold Campbell; sisters Belinda (Bill) Court and Beth (Michael) Prentice; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Charlie was predeceased by his parents Charles and Gertrude.

The family would like to send a special thank you to the ExtraMural team for their care and compassion in Charlie’s final days.
